boogers

The days go slow in S. Africa, but it is glorious. we spent the morning at the headquarters aka 'hq' doing crafts for the upcoming holiday clubs that will be during the world cup! it is going to get mad busy. but it will be lovely. then spent the afternoon in ocean view playing with the children. most of them prefer not to blow the snot that runs down their face so today i enjoyed getting boogers smeared up and down my shirt with a mixture of fresh orange juice. after kid's club we headed back for dinner.
After dinner a few of us walked to the Pick N' Pay for a round of "reverse shop lifting" you may be asking yourself "Carley what the heck is that?" Well my friends i will tell you. Basically you find an object in the market and try and sneak it into an oblivious shopper's cart, in hopes that you A. don't get caught. and B. that they will end up purchasing it. haha. maybe you have to be there? or maybe you just have to play it with Stuart. now a few of us are hanging in the den. tomorrow we will be making 6,000 cardboard swords, shields, helmets and armor.. hehe. Good times, good times. *Aiden is the little boy in the swing, he wouldn't leave my side. maybe i'll bring him back?
leap of faith
after nap time
Exodus 14: is basically the story of moses and the Israelites as they cross the Red Sea. Moses is leading the israelites all around Egypt while they constantly moan and whine about stinky situations. Moses responds to the people by saying 13 "Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today." God repeats His commandments over and over repeatedly trying to gain the israelites attention. which sort of parallels to how i feel God speaks to me a lot of the time. He will constantly be telling/showing me what His will for me is, but my refusal to move forward and carry an attitude of thankfulness seems to stand in His way, similar to the israelites. But seeing a little boy who hasn't showered in weeks jerks me to reality. What do I really have to moan about, because whatever it is, it is insignificant.
